A blog with one purpose: to praise and glorify God
Statement of Faith
I believe
One God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is God’s infallible, inspired Word, an essential part of living a life in surrender to God.
Prayer and fasting are essential parts of our walk with Christ.
Heaven and hell are real places. We will face a final judgment by a righteous God. “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46 ESV
We are all sinners by nature. Sin separates us from God.
Jesus Christ came to save sinners and end the hostility between God and people, initiating a new covenant.
Because Jesus shed His blood on the cross and was a perfect sacrifice, we can accept Him as our Savior by repenting of our sins, turning to God, and being baptized.
We are saved by grace through faith in Christ, the son of God. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Eph. 2:8-9 ESV
I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit: speaking in various tongues, interpretation of tongues, words of knowledge, prophecy, words of wisdom, healing, working of miracles, and the ability to distinguish between spirits. “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.” 1 Corinthians 12:7, 11 ESV
The church (not a building, but all believers born of the Spirit) is the body of Christ.
